Cosplay worklist for the week:
- Jecht’s armor and top patterns
- Pipboy base
- Prishe’s shirt and boot topper patterns
So this was my first cosplay I wore to my first con back in 2007.
This stupid kimono took me forever because it was my first big sewing project with my grandmother helping me and she would rip out all my stitching if I didn’t sew straight enough. OTL
I’m glad though, because it turned out fantastic.
Mother. Fucking. Mallet.
Modgepodge is still drying. Going to let it sit for a few more hours before I start blasting it with the blow dryer. Once that’s done I’m spray painting it and adding all the details.
So the middle is too blue and over all I’m kinda meh on how this turned out. It’s already on my list of things to be remade for otakon (Taken with instagram)
I’m really scared to put the details on the sleeve just to screw it up s:
I also need to find a way for the amulet to sit on the ribbon without pulling out the bow cause right now it’s on a chain and that isn’t going to work OTL
Anyway, almost done with her, Just need to work on the headpiece, boots, and undershirt and I’ll be golden.
Prishe progress so far.
Only a few more pieces need to be done!
Trying to figure out how to go about the details on the sleeves but otherwise the bolero is done.
About to set this aside and work on the boots though since they’ll take me about an hour or so to finish up.
Prishe shorts are fixed up and ready to go. Since I have 2 months to otakon I’ll put all those god awful details on them later.
Otakon Plans:
- Fem!Jecht
- Prishe (Fixing up any mistakes I’m about to make. OTL)
- Possibly one more
I need to let it sit and dry and then paint over the trim with gold before doing the center (Taken with instagram)
